Rick Ellis
One of New Zealand’s most experienced boxing coaches.

Ringside Gym is a full time commitment as a business. The Gym has been in existence since 2005 and helped support my philosophy of health and wellbeing being made available for everyone. Ringside Gym also provides a strong grounding for the development of aspiring young boxing athletes.

My involvement with boxing has spanned over forty years beginning with club and then regional level of competition. A commitment to coaching has allowed me to be part of many athletes achieving their dreams and aspirations, whether the achievements have been successful or not, every journey great or small has shaped me as a coach and a person. My credentials have allowed me to transition my passion to Ringside Gym and on to our clients.
